SFW X Boozt.com new talent and innovation award to launch at Stockholm fashion week
Boozt.com extends the strategic partnership with Stockholm Fashion Week for the upcoming season 31 August – 2 September. Supporting the fashion industry’s new designer talents and innovators as well as being an advocate for sustainability, the SFW x Boozt.com New Talent and Innovation Award will select winners within three categories: New Talent, Fashion Innovation and Sustainable Fashion Influencer.
“We are happy to once again partner with Stockholm Fashion Week to celebrate Nordic fashion and design. Together, we share the same strong belief that innovation and technology are the future of fashion, creating a more inclusive and responsible industry. With the award we want to encourage those who have an innovative approach to fashion, that are pushing boundaries and are championing a responsible way of doing business. This is important to us, our customers, and the industry” says Dorte Tandrup, Sales and Marketing Director at Boozt.com
There will be three nominees per category, voted for by a jury of fashion experts; Ursula Wångander, Fashion stylist and Model, Margareta van den Bosch, Creative Advisor at H&M Group and H&M’s first Head of Design, Pär Engsheden, Couturier and Head of Design at Beckman’s College of Design, Evelyne Durhuus Daugberg, Buying Director at Boozt.com, Gloria Tramontana, Sustainability Manager at Boozt.com, Elina Grothén, Fashion Director at Elle Sweden and Catarina Midby, Head of Stockholm Fashion Week. The nominated designers, brands and influencers will then be presented on Boozt.com for a public vote in August. The respective winners will be invited to receive their awards at Stockholm Fashion Week, on 31 August, with a ceremony followed by a presentation and a panel discussion around fashion and sustainability.
“We are extremely proud to partner with leading fashion tech platform Boozt.com another season and to award winners within three categories, all very relevant to the industry shift we experience. Our industry so needs to be encouraged and rewarded after a challenging time. The Fashion Innovation category, where the SFW x Boozt team will select a winner, is a good representation of the industry’s development” says Catarina Midby, Secretary General at Swedish Fashion Association and Head of Stockholm Fashion Week.
The fashion industry jumped ahead in time within digitization during the first year of the pandemic. Boozt.com follows this development with technology for an efficient and forefront business model, and always with focus on sustainability. Goals for 2023 are that 100% of their apparel brands are committed to supply chain transparency and working with HIGG BRM tool, and by 2025 to be climate-neutral across all operations, including the impact of delivery and returns.
